Carley’s earlier books are some of my favorite ever - but this is the second of her romance novels that just didn’t hit for me. Feedback for the bots that will hopefully help edit her next book: - These characters were a little too obsessed with each other & over the top sappy that it took me out of feeling the love. - The constant throwbacks. I love a good parallel timeline story, but this wasn’t that, and something about the execution here just didn’t work. - I didn’t get George’s humor. Like, yes we know he’s hot & he’s a doting book boyfriend, but their banter often didn’t land with me. - The Tofino backdrop & side characters felt like the most engaging part of this book.
