Novelust is operated by Intentional Ventures Group LLC, DBA “Intentional Ventures” (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Novelust website and application (the “Service”), how we use it, and your choices.
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and authentication details via our authentication provider (Supabase).
Content you provide. Books you save, photo and character selections you make, and any other choices you save to your profile.
Usage data. Basic technical information such as IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, and general usage patterns, used to keep the Service working and improve it. We also derive an approximate, country-level location from your IP address, which we use to determine which analytics tools apply to your visit (see Section 4).
The Service integrates with third-party providers to deliver its features. These providers may process limited data (such as search queries) as part of that integration, under their own privacy policies:
We use essential cookies and first-party performance analytics (such as Google Analytics) to understand basic website traffic, improve site performance, and ensure site security.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We also do not “share” your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted marketing purposes, as those terms are defined under applicable law (including the California Consumer Privacy Act). Because we do not sell or share personal information, we do not offer a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” opt-out link on our website. In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have not sold or shared any categories of personal information to third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.
Because we do not sell or share personal information or engage in targeted third-party advertising, our systems operate in compliance with Global Privacy Control (GPC) and “Do Not Track” browser signals by default for all visitors.
We retain your account information and saved content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your associated personal data within a reasonable time, except where we’re required to retain it by law.
You can access, update, or delete your saved content directly within the Service. You can request deletion of your account and associated data, or ask what data we hold about you, by contacting us at contact@novelust.co. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law (such as the right to access, correct, or delete your data).
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including relying on Supabase’s authentication and database security features. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the effective date above.
