Novelust (“Novelust,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Intentional Ventures Group LLC, DBA “Intentional Ventures”. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Novelust website and application (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Novelust is a companion app that assembles a visual “kit” for books you’re reading: character casting, place photos, and mood boards, sourced from third-party services and public data. Novelust is an independent fan/reader tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any book’s author, publisher, or rights holder.
You need an account to save books and personalize your visual kits. You’re responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
You agree not to:
Book metadata, actor photos, and images displayed in the Service are sourced from third parties, including Google Books, TMDB, and Unsplash, and are subject to those providers’ own licenses and terms. Book titles, character names, and related details remain the property of their respective authors and publishers. We don’t claim ownership over third-party content displayed in the Service and display it for personal, non-commercial reference use only.
If you’re a rights holder and have a concern about content displayed in Novelust, contact us at contact@novelust.co and we’ll address it promptly.
Anything you upload or select within the Service (such as photo choices) you confirm you have the right to use. You grant us a limited license to store and display that content back to you as part of the Service.
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don’t guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any content, including third-party sourced images or metadata.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Intentional Ventures Group LLC, DBA “Intentional Ventures”, will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
We may update the Service or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
