I don’t think I can do another book in this series at this quality level of writing/editing. Someone please convince me it gets better (ahem, throne of glass), so I can pick up the next book! Because right now, I can’t. Overall, I’m conflicted. You know how on dating shows a couple goes on a date, and then every conversation thereafter is a recall play by play of everything they thought and felt about that first date - like no new conversations of substance happens, they’re just clinging to that one shared past experience? That’s what this book feels like. Just a constant replay and reprocessing of things that have already happened, and so little actual forward momentum plot. But, the plot that is there IS good. Ahhh!!! Idk!!!
